Here & Now LLC is founded by Joel Thayer, LMHC, MFA, JD, CP, PAT to provide outpatient experiential therapy to the greater Boston area and beyond. Our staff of trained clinicians incorporate psychodrama, sociometry, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), expressive art therapy, occupational therapy, and the safe processing of trauma into group and individual sessions.  We specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy, trauma, and PTSD.

Experiential therapy helps clients challenge core beliefs, recognize underlying motivations, increase functionality, and reduce troublesome symptoms. Our specialized groups engage the mind, body, and spirit using simple movement, psycho-education, skill building, and creative expression. Experiential therapy is effective because it internally renegotiates trauma and stress while providing a sense of safety, control, creativity, fun, and empowerment in the process. Our groups help clients make meaningful change.

Our staff is available for group and individual therapy, to lead on-site groups, give demonstrations, offer training in psychodrama and group leadership, collaborate with outside practitioners, and provide specialized intensive therapy sessions.
